Digital Strata first opened its doors in 1994 as an IT services firm. As times changed, the company switched its focus and, in 2001, started one of the first internal eDiscovery/forensics teams with Cisco Systems. Since then, Digital Strata has evolved as a boutique firm providing premier eDiscovery and Digital Forensics services and developing tools and processes to solve the unique project needs of some of the world’s leading law firms and corporations.
For more than 20 years, Dan Fischler and Nick Harris have upheld their mission to draw out data evidence that tells a story and finds the truth.
Our Team
Dan Fischler
Dan Fischler is the President and CEO of Digital Strata. He has managed senior computer forensics, electronic discovery professionals, and senior IT staff both as a traditional discovery service and in in-house capacities. Dan has been involved in over 1000 matters involving patent and intellectual property, commercial litigation, theft of trade secrets, human resources and internal investigations, real estate, bankruptcy, cyberstalking, and government inquiries.
Nick Harris
Nick Harris is a Senior Forensic Analyst and Software Developer at Digital Strata, where he performs forensic collections, examinations, and reporting. Nick also develops custom software solutions to support both clients and internal review teams. He has written hundreds of programs that support the internal Digital Strata technology infrastructure and significantly streamline the collection and ingestion of evidence. Nick is a graduate of Cal Poly Humboldt on the redwood coast of California. His time there instilled in him a lifelong love of the redwoods, and being outdoors.
